In 2003, Mark received publicity in the January edition of American Artist magazine for his large-scale paintings project of urban New London, done through a UAI grant. Mark was awarded a 2004 all-inclusive Residency to Vermont Studio Center (VSC) through a CCT grant; invited to a 2004 all-inclusive Residency at I-Park Artists’ Enclave; awarded a 2005 CCT grant for VSC Alumnus Residency, and invited to a 2005 I-Park Alumnus Residency. A Silver Rose recipient, from Bulgaria’s Preeminent Poet, Lyubomir Levchev, Mark was sponsored by the Griffis & Orpheus Foundations for a summer 2006 all-inclusive Artist Residency at the Sharon House, Bulgaria.
