My recent work takes me back to landscape while incorporating abstraction. The work is focused on the eroding American landscape in terms of accessibility and regulatory encroachments. The barbed wire shows the historic agrarian culture and military grade razor wire warns of looming danger. It’s symbolic for the lack of access we have to determining our destiny. Laws we don’t like bind us and limit our manifest destiny. The American People have a destiny - not just their government. The work is more about awareness and encouraging the active participation of the American People.
