Fellowships & Residences

2006        Invited to an Artist Residency at the Sharon House in the village of Polkovnik Serafimovo in Smolyan, Bulgaria. The Sharon House is part of the Bulgarian-American Exchange Program started in August 1997. In collaboration with The Orpheus Foundation in Bulgaria, this property is reserved for American artists, writers and composers during the months of May through September.

2005        Invited to CT Commission on Culture & Tourism Arts In Education Program Hot Schools 2005 Summer Institute, July 31 - August 4, Dolce Heritage Resort and Conference Center, Southbury, CT.

2005        Invited to Residency session program at I-Park Artists’ Enclave (http://www.i-park.org), East Haddam, CT for a self-directed, project specific pursuit.

2005        Selected for an Artist Residency Fellowship at Vermont Studio Center (VSC), Johnson, Vermont (www.vermontstudiocenter.org) and sponsored by the state-wide program, Urban Artists Initiative (UAI), Hartford, CT, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism (CCC&T) in partnership with the Institute for Community Research (ICR).

Funded Projects

2005             The Whale Trail – one of 50 participating artists – worked on two sculptures.

2005             Ales for Whales Cinco de Mayo Theme - New London Union Station, May 5 - featured artist in PR and televised coverage. Painted the whale that will later be donated to the Interdistrict School for Arts And Communication (ISAAC) and New London Main Street.

2003-05     New Images for New London – Large-scale painting project to benefit urban New London.
